Karina Hayat - Award-Winning Entrepreneur & Philanthropist



With over two decades of entrepreneurship, Karina Hayat has founded and led five ventures across a spectrum of industries, spanning from ecommerce, developing lead generation funnels for the direct marketing industry, lead generation in healthcare, wellness app development to multifamily unit construction. She is the Transformation, Change and Innovation Advisor of Kudos Technologies, focusing on developing systems and processes that help SME’s reduce business chaos through customized software solutions that streamline and automate sales, operations, and marketing activities in a conscious and holistic way.

As a proud recipient of multiple awards and honors, including the WXN Canada’s Most Powerful Women Award, CHATELAINE PROFIT W100 Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneurs, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Pacific Finalist, Salma Karina Hayat was celebrated among the Government of Canada -Women of Impact trailblazers in 2022, underscoring her pioneering efforts across various fields. 

Karina Hayat's journey is a testament to her commitment to making a difference in the world. From her early days of teaching literacy in Guatemala to being involved in the founding of Canada's first Muslim Food Bank and initiating the "100 Meals a Week Initiative," that became the Muslim Care Center. Salma Karina Hayat's work spans various domains, including family reunification, mental health advocacy, interfaith dialogue, and homelessness alleviation. As a past Chairwoman of the BCMA Vancouver chapter, she has promoted community unity and safety, and her efforts aiding Syrian refugee families showcases her dedication to global humanitarian efforts. Furthermore, Salma Karina Hayat's emphasis on education and mentorship is evident in her launch of scholarships for underprivileged students. Her future projects, including writing books and establishing an orphanage and a homeless shelter, underscore her ongoing dedication to social impact and community upliftment.
